ernst and young

tonight was the curtin-ernst and young business management project awards ceremony. vanessa came over to my house at like 3 in the afternoon and we just hung out in my room listening to ben folds and just talking about stuff that annoyed us. especially about lipgloss-- that's really annoying! and then at 3.30 huoymin came to my house and we all got ready for a night out in the city! huoymin was sooooo excited about the awards ceremony. as was i--i was looking forward to see my accounting group members in suits and stuff. man vanessa- paul looked hot! and huoymin so did jayson. after we took the bus to the city and got there at 4.30. vanessa wanted to use the toilet at EY so we went there but we felt so out of place that we ended up going back to the busport to use their toilet hehe. after that, we still had an hour to wait before the ceremony started so we walked to boost juice and got some juice. vanessa had a hottie and i had a mango tango crush. huoymin didn't get anything. after buying our juice we walked back to EY sipping and slurping all the way back.. i totally regret wearing high heeled shoes coz my feet hurt soooo bad walking around! i admire those business women who wear stilletos and stuff to work everyday and walk around in them- it was so hard for me!

after walking back from boost juice we just sat at the busport for a little while coz it was still early. huoymin saw some of friends from the island who go to UWA but i forget who they are. then we finally went back to the EY building and waited in the lobby for the ceremony to start. that was when i saw cale and sean (two guys from my group) and they were both wearing nice shirts. sean was wearing a tie too! he went one better than cale. but in saying that, they were the most under-dressed guys there i think. vanessa's group member paul wore a fucking hot suit and there was this guy called ken who was pretty hot wearing a suit with a green tie. sexy.

at 5.30, glen hutchings our accounting 100 lecturer took us up to the 5th floor of the EY building where the boardroom was... you could see the bell tower outside and it was very pretty when it got darker. we "mingled" until 6pm, met this really hot indian guy called esso or esson who works at EY. he's 21 and he is a SENIOR in the business. i totally wanted his number but i wasn't game enough to ask for it. At 6pm, we were asked to sit down because the awards were going to be handed out. We waited anxiously to find out whether we had won gold, silver or bronze. Vanessa and Huoymin's groups won bronze awards and my group won a silver award. to tell you the truth i was a bit disappointed because i think we deserved a gold award.

When the awards were handed out, we returned to our mingling, eating the gourmet tit bits or whatever you call them that they had. I think that it was too gourmet for my liking-- it was too big to stuff in ur mouth in one bite and too messy to try taking two or three bites out of the morsel. I almost choked while attempting to stuff this round thing in my mouth. i don't even know what it was.

At 7pm, we decided it was time to leave. After making much fun of kat and her conversation with glen hutchings about 'The Matrix', my group, huoymin and vanessa went to get icecream from gelare-- half price waffles yay. We walked from the busport to the CBD area and central perth looking for gelare and i was wearing my heels and my feet were starting to hurt really bad. THEN, it started raining. woohoo. when we finally found our way to gelare it was CLOSED!!!!!!! arghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! so then there was a change of plan and we decided to go get the cars and go eat at fast eddy's. Now it's like 7.30 and we are walking to the cars, huoymin and vanessa go off with sean to sit in his gorgeous holden thunder and i went with cale and kat to get their cars. BIG MISTAKE. word of advice, don't try running in the rain with heels on in the city. your feet will be VERY VERY sore. i shouldve gone with sean instead! i had to take off my shoes so i could keep up with kat and cale running around AND we got lost but then we found our way back again. then kat and cale went to get their cars respectively, leaving me to wait for cale in an abandoned car park entrance coz i couldn't walk anymore in the rain with my heels on. Cale said he would be 3 minutes but he actually took like 10 minutes to come and get me. I seriously thought i might get raped or something horrible like that.

8pm and the next hurdle to eating dinner was finding sean and his car. We circled the whole block and actually DROVE PAST FAST EDDY'S where we were supposed to be eating and then cale got a phone call from sean asking where we were. we had forgotten that sean was waiting for us at the convention centre carpark and so we had to go back and find him. Luckily we did find him and kat was driving behind us and so we were reunited again yay! Then, we decided not to go to fast eddy's anymore because it was too confusing and kat suggested we go to her place and just get some pizzas. GOOD IDEA kat!! then cale, kat and sean took like 5 minutes to discuss how to get to kat's place while kat was calling pizza hut to order the pizzas. During my ride in cale's mum's corolla along the graham farmer fwy, we discussed dancing, sleeping over, music, driving, the swan valley and sean's ability to pick up chicks with his new sexy car. During this car ride with cale, he revealed to me that he thought that vanessa was hot! i'm so jealous right now because cale would be a bloody good catch. don't tell him that.

Finally made it to kat's house, Cale showed me his "turbo" move that he made with his car and even though he drove on the wrong side of the road to overtake sean going to kat's house surprisingly i felt really comfortable with him driving even though he's crazy. When we reached kat's house it was about 8.20pm and me, hm, van and cale hung around watching tv while kat and sean went to get the pizzas from pizza hut. kat's housemate is japanese which is pretty cool. Then kat and sean came back with the pizzas (hawaiian, supreme and meatlovers) and we ate to our hearts' content. It was getting pretty fun with the boys joking around and everything and i was beginning to enjoy myself then my MUM called me saying i had to come home blah blah blah. i seriously didn't want to go home but i had to coz my mum is GAY!!!!!! and i was having a good time too. so kat drove me and huoymin back to my house and we got back at 9.50. great way to spoil a great night. vanessa decided to stay because i secretly think that she has a thing for cale =P and cale is going to take her home.. i dunno if they are still at kat's house or not because we have a lecture 8.30 in the morning tomorrow. man i really wanted to stay at kat's-- it was just getting fun! i'm so jealous of you vanessa!!

now i'm at home typing this blog which is sooo sad but i'm doing it anyway. i had a fun time tonight but i'm sad that it had to end so abruptly. G-A-Y!! it's not fair! but i won a silver award which means i'm in the top 6% of the accounting groups that did the EY component of the project. that's pretty good i guess. i think i might be getting a crush on cale. nooo!!!!
